Microsoft Post-Gates FRIDAY HARBOR, WA (KPLU) - It's been more than a month since Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates retired from his position as Chief Software Architect. Gates shared leadership of the company with CEO Steve Ballmer. Now, Ballmer is leading the company with two other top executives.
