Concert pianist dreams of virtuoso feats
The Winter Olympics are here with competition starting in Vancouver on the 12th. So there's plenty of skiing, skating, racing and curling in our future. The figure skating competition begins on Sunday, February 14th, and pianist Orli Shaham is likely to be watching. She's a big fan - not so much of the skaters and the skating but of the audience.

In recent days, performers like Orli Shaham, Emanuel Ax, Christopher O'Riley and Mark Elder are encouraging us to clap when we feel like it. It's a discussion that's likely to continue for a long time. In the meantime, you can find out what else Orli Shaham has to say about music and music-making on her website.
