The Wichita-Sedgwick County Historical Museum is hosting a Block Party at the corner of William and Main Streets on Saturday, October 5, from Noon to 3, featuring:
-Cosmic eats and treats
-The Southeast High School Marching Band and “Pop and the Boys”
-Antique cars on display
-Re-enactors from Wichita’s colorful past
At 1:00 p.m., Wichita’s 1892 Mayor John B. Carey (as played by local actor John Boldenow) will speak from the Mayor’s Balcony, followed by an important announcement by City and County officials.
Come celebrate our local history with guided tours of the Museum (the original old City Hall) and the famous clock tower.
Admission to this event and the Museum is free.
