In this session we discuss where business opportunities come from. The best business ideas emerge as effective solutions to problems. These solutions could likely result in unique or improved products, services, and more effective and efficient business processes. Thus, creative problem solving is the foundation for viable business ideas. Specifically we will address three issues:
• Listening and paying attention to customer problems.
• Learning how to identify root problems rather than treating
symptoms.
• Experimentation as a method for achieving high quality
solutions.
