Sarah Bagby's Book Review
"The Day I Ate Whatever I Wanted and Other Small Acts of Liberation" by Elizabeth Berg (Random House)

5.12.08

Popular and prolific women's author, Elizabeth Berg, turned seriously to writing in the mid-'80s after holding a variety of jobs, from waitress and rock singer to working as a nurse for a decade. In short order, she produced a series of successful titles, including "Durable Goods" and "Joy School," both named ALA Best Books of the Year, and "Open House," which was an Oprah Book Club selection. She's back now with a new collection of stories and KMUW book critic Sarah Bagby has this review.
