Sarah Bagby's Book Review
Our Story Begins by Tobias Wolff (Knopf)

6.9.08

Author Tobias Wolff said once in an interview that he could name few novels that attained perfection, but a number of short stories that did.
That perhaps goes some way toward explaining Wolff's love of the form. And his mastery of it has won him the Rea Award for the Short Story, several O.Henry Awards and the respect and admiration of both readers and critics for his work over the last three decades.
The author of both short story collections and memoirs and the director of the creative writing program at Stanford is back now with a new short story collection.

You can hear Sarah Bagby's book reviews the second and fourth Mondays of every month on Morning Edition
