Metropolitan Community College’s Great Plains Theatre Conference is currently seeking actors, directors and technical personnel for its spring conference, May 24–31, 2014, at the Fort Omaha Campus. Since its inception nine years ago, GPTC has become a nationally recognized theatre symposium, hosting both well-known and emerging playwrights. The GPTC has grown exponentially in stature every year, thanks in large measure to the efforts of more than 250 local theatre artists who are immersed annually in a week of performances by participating in one or more of the following: Five MainStage Series readings 25-30 PlayLab readings PlayFest evening theatre festival Special events
Participants have the rare opportunity to meet, converse and work closely with theatre practitioners and luminaries from across the country. Actors, directors and technical personnel receive free admission to all GPTC events, including PlayLabs, MainStage readings, acting workshops, panel discussions, PlaySlam, PlayFest and the closing celebration.
Those interested in participating can submit new information or updates to www.mccneb.edu/gptc/callforADTForm.asp. Casting will begin in February 2014. The database is available for updates year-round.
Personal information will not be visible to the public; however, it will be accessible to theatre professionals searching for a cast and crew for their readings. Those selected will be contacted with further details.
