The Kent Bellows Studio is inviting the community to come support young local artists by attending its second annual signature event, the WISHBONE Gala. Guests will be introduced to the work of The Kent Bellows Studio & Center for Visual Arts with an exclusive collection of Kent Bellow's work and select pieces from students, mentors and alumni artists who have participated in the Young Artist Mentoring Program. The festivities will take place on Thursday, October 17th from 7pm-10pm at The Joslyn Castle, located at 3902 Davenport Street. WISHBONE 2013 will bring together a series of mini “venues,” including catering stations, a cocktail lounge and pop-up art workshops, along with a short presentation and wishbone ceremony lead by the host for the evening, Dave Wingert. Heavy hors d'oeuvres, music and conversation about art and youth voice will be sure to entertain. The event also offers the opportunity for attendees to work with a mentor on a small canvas, have a quick portrait made by a young artist or take a signature photo in front of a famous Kent Bellows backdrop. The Kent Bellows Studio seeks to provide young artists with an environment of creative growth and support. In order to continue their young tradition of service to the community, the Studio is seeking to grow its base of supporters and will be accepting donations to help further support this cause and the transition into the Joslyn Art Museum at this WISHBONE 2013 event. Tickets are available for purchase at www.WISHBONE2013.EVENTBRITE.com.
Prices are $50 for individual tickets or $150 for 4 tickets.
