Westroads Mall presents the 2013 summer recreation fair Saturday, March 16. The fair showcases the many summer-fun opportunities 21 local organizations have planned for all ages. Beginning at 12 pm on the upper level near Jcpenney, representatives will be on hand to share information about their organizations, as well as register participants in featured activities. Shoppers will also be invited to take a ride on the Strategic Air and Space Museum’s Multi-Axis Trainer, visit with local mascots from the Omaha Storm Chasers and Omaha Parks and Recreation, touch and feel animal pelts at the Henry Doorly Zoo booth and much more. In addition, several Westroads Mall retailers will be present at the fair. Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers will have a free lemonade stand; Joe’s Crab Shack will give away free appetizer cards and The Cookie Company will provide mini cookies (while supplies last); and shoppers can enjoy several other retailer offers and coupons.
