Richard M. Zeitner, Ph.D. willl talk about his book "Self Within Marriage: The Foundation for Lasting Relationships. Dr/ Zeither will describe the unconscious factors involved in marital choice, while coming to understand how each individual wishes to repair crucial aspects of self through the intimate partnering process. He will define the selfdyad and discuss the psychodynamics of its construction and he will show how coming to understand each couples’ selfdyad in the couple therapeutic process is essential in helping the couple to grow and move forward. Dr. Zeither is clinical psychologist and psychoanalyst practicing in a suburban area of Kansas City. He is the Director of the Greater Kansas City Psychoanalytic Institute where he is also a Training and Supervising Analyst.
