| Abendmusik will present the nationally acclaimed Concordia Choir in Concert on Friday, March 8 at 7:00 pm at First-Plymouth Church, 20th and D Streets in Lincoln.Hailing from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, the Concordia Choir and conductor René Clausen are internationally renowned. For nearly 100 years, this 72-voice group has ranked among the Nation’s finest a cappella choirs. The group has performed in nearly every major hall in the United States, including Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center. Do not miss their incredible performance in the favorable acoustics of First-Plymouth. Clausen is currently in his 27th year at Concordia College, as artistic director of the award-winning Concordia Christmas Concerts and conductor of the acclaimed The Concordia Choir. He is a renowned composer and arranger, having written dozens of commissioned compositions for famed performances and is also a frequent guest conductor, composer and lecturer. His music is featured on the GRAMMY Award winning recording “Life and Breath: Choral Works by Rene Clausen” Single tickets for the concert are available. Adults are $20; Senior Citizens (age 62 and over) are $18; and Students (grade school through full-time college students) are $10. Doors will open at 6:15 and seating is general.
