The 13th Annual Dundee IrishFest Celebration takes place Saturday March 9th from 12 noon to sundown at 4816 Douglas Street in Omaha's Historic Dundee neighborhood. As always, the event is held outdoors around a blazing bonfire with food and drink served for all. There is no charge to attend the event but donations are accepted to help support Irish Dancing in the Midlands. All members of The Union of The Shamrock, Thistle, & Rose wear traditional Celtic attire researched from their various Family's Irish, Scottish, Welsh, and Cornish roots with all of them sporting Tartans and Kilts from each nation and region. Attendees are advised to dress appropriately as it is an outdoor event in Omaha in the Month of March and temperatures are expected to be in the Upper 40's to Mid 50's. There will be traditional Irish, Scottish, and Welsh music, bagpipe music, tin whistle playing and folk tunes and much revelry throughout the day.
