Whale necropsy looking unlikely UNALASKA, AK (kucb) - On Sunday, a dead humpback whale weighing between 35 and 45 tons washed up in Unalaska Bay. The cause of death was unclear, and the whale was brought closer to town in the hopes that an out-of-town scientist would be able to fly in to perform a necropsy.
