WhistlerFest runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 19 in the Arcadia Conservation and Education Area at north Midwest Boulevard on the south side of Arcadia Lake.
Boys and girls ages 5 to 18, along with their parents, have
the opportunity to participate in various hands-on activities throughout the day.
Youths can enjoy hiking and nature photography, learn about wildlife identification, study wildflowers and their pollinators and watch hunting dog demonstrations.
Wildlife Department personnel offers hands-on instruction in fishing and archery.
Rudy's Country Store and Bar-B-Q provides lunch.
