Senior fraud has become one of the most profitable illegal activities in the country, but the Oklahoma Insurance Departmentís Medicare Assistance Program (MAP) hosts a series of conferences to help seniors avoid getting swindled.
A conference takes place at the Donald W. Reynolds Library in Durant on July 8th from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Each conference is free for senior adults and includes breakfast. There is a $30 fee for insurance professionals seeking Continuing Education credit. The events are funded, in part, by the Administration on Community Livingís Senior Medicare Patrol grant. Seniors are asked to register online by calling 1-800-763-2828.
