NPR foreign correspondent Kelly McEvers has spent the past couple of years covering the 'Arab Spring' uprisings and the events that followed, based at NPR's Beirut bureau, but often traveling undercover into war-torn Syria where reporters were not allowed.
McEvers is coming to Norman for a public discussion on events in that part of the world. KGOU and OU's College of International Studies are hosting the discussion on Wednesday, Oct. 2 at 7:30 p.m. in the Kerr Auditorium at the Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History.
Joining her will be OU's Director of the Center for Middle East Studies and an expert on Syria, Joshua Landis, and OU Associate Professor and noted scholar on Egypt, Samer Shehata. Save the date and plan to join us for this free special event!
