Oklahomaís 600,000 Medicare beneficiaries can learn more about their enrollment options during a series of Senior Summits conducted by the Oklahoma Medicare Assistance Program (MAP). The events are designed to prepare Medicare beneficiaries for open enrollment, which takes place from Oct. 15 to Dec. 7. Any changes made during this time go into effect Jan. 1, 2014.
During last yearís open enrollment period, MAP counselors helped more than 7,000 Medicare beneficiaries review their plans. Their average savings was between $500 and $1,000.
