Project Smoke Alarm is a joint effort of the Norman Fire Department (NFD), Little Axe Fire Department, and Norman Citizens CORPS volunteers to provide fire alarms for Norman residents. The Norman Fire Department will focus on mobile home parks. Teams will arrive between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on March 9th, and residents should consider letting them enter their home to install a new smoke alarm. All citizens of Norman are eligible to participate. During normal business hours you can contact the Norman Fire Marshal’s Office at (405) 292-9780 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday to apply for a free smoke alarm and schedule a time to have it installed.
