Disaster Services Overview will be offered on March 16 from 9-11 a.m. Shelter Operations will begin at 1 p.m., after an hour break for lunch. Disaster Services Overview is a basic level course that provides an introduction to Disaster Services at the American Red Cross. It is intended for individuals and organizations interested in learning about volunteer opportunities in disaster preparedness and response. Shelter Operations is designed to give participants an overview of the American Red Cross policies and procedures for setting up, running, and closing a shelter during a disaster. To enroll one or both of these classes or for more information on being prepared, please visit www.redcross.org or call the Red Cross at 580-332-2402. Pre-registration is required. |
