CISD continues superintendent search
For the past two weeks during a number of closed door executive sessions, the Commerce School Board has interviewed several applicants for the position.
This week, the Board interviewed another group of individuals both Monday and Wednesday, with the possibility of more interviews to follow before a sole finalist is named.
It is unsure of the number of interviews scheduled to be conducted or the timeline for completion.
In July, the Commerce School Board accepted the resignation of former superintendent Mike Roberts.
Two weeks later, board members approved the hiring of Arrow Educational Services to conduct a search for a new superintendent.
In the meantime, former Quinlan Superintendent Larry Johnson has been hired to serve at the interim position.
