Bonham adopts tax rate and budget BONHAM (ketr) - The City of Bonham has adopted its property tax rate and budget for the 2008-2009 fiscal year.

The City Council Tuesday approved a budget of $10.2 million, with expected revenue of approximately $160,000. They also agreed upon a tax rate of $.67 cents per $100 valuation. It is the same tax rate used by the City last year.

Also Tuesday, the City of Greenville adopted its budget and tax rate for the fiscal year, with a $50.34 million budget and property tax rate of $.72 cents per $100 valuation.

Last week, the Commerce City Council approved a budget of $9.5 million and a tax rate of $.73 per $100 valuation. The adopted tax rate is approximately three cents lower than last year's rate.
