Greenville adopts budget
(2008-09-24)
(ketr) - The City of Greenville now has a budget for next year. The City Council voted Tuesday to formally adopt the city budget, property tax rate, and to ratify how the budget included an increase in property taxes. The $50.34 million budget includes a property tax rate of $.72 cents per $100 valuation. The taxes will go to pay for a number of items, including reorganization the naming of an Assistant City Manager; the hiring of a new narcotics officer, and a new Quint , or ladder fire truck.
