Voting to begin for GISD tax rollback election GREENVILLE (ketr) - Voting is about to begin in a tax rollback election in Greenville. Early voting for the Oct. 4 Greenville Independent School District property tax rollback election is set to take place beginning Wednesday and continuing through September 30. Votes can be cast at the Hunt County Voter Administration Officer between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. The GISD has proposed a $.06 increase to the District's maintenance and operations tax rate, which requires voter approval, will increase the tax rate to $1.10 per $100 valuation.
