Greenville names Parks and Recreation Director GREENVILLE (ketr) - The City of Greenville has named Colby VanGundy as its Director of Parks and Recreation.

According to City Manager Steven Alexander, VanGundy has been serving as Interim Director of Parks and Recreation since March.

VanGundy is a graduate of Tarleton State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise and Sports Studies. He joined the City of Greenville as the Recreation Manager in October 2007.

Before coming to Greenville, VanGundy served as the Director of Parks and Recreation for the City of Burnet, Texas. During his seven years in Burnet, he also served as the Athletics Supervisor, Recreation Superintendent and Parks Director.
