Prison sentence given in a Greenville DWI case
(2008-09-03)
(ketr) - A prison sentence has been handed down in a Greenville DWI case.

It was Mack Ray Grisby's first felony DWI charge, but his fifth conviction overall and he was sentenced as a repeat offender to 25 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice-Institutional Division.

Grisby's potential sentence was bumped up due to his history of prior convictions. He had previously been convicted of misdemeanor driving while intoxicated charges in Lamar County in 2001 and in Hunt County in 1993.

Grisby had also been convicted of aggravated assault on a peace officer in Hunt County in 1992 and burglary in Hunt County in 1980.
