Law enforcement officer cleared in shooting HUNT COUNTY (ketr) - A Grand Jury has cleared a law enforcement officer in a fatal shooting. The Hunt County grand jury Friday issued a no bill in the case of Trooper Carl Bubba Goodwin involving the death of Harold Lee Austin Jr., of Jacksonville, Mich. Goodwin shot and killed Austin after Austin reportedly attacked Goodwin with a knife during a traffic stop along Interstate 30. District Attorney F. Duncan Thomas said the grand jury agreed it was a case of Goodwin acting in self-defense.
