(KERA) - Because of Hurricane Gustav, we will provide the perspectives of GOP convention delgates at a later time. KERA previously aired contributions for Democratic convention delegates.:

David Schenck:


David Schenck is a Dallas appellate attorney and first-time delegate. He was an early supporter of McCain because he likes the candidate's independent streak. He speaks on behalf of McCain to groups in Northern Texas.

Kimberly Dena:


Kimberly Dena, 19, is the youngest member of the Texas delegation attending the GOP convention. She's a Fort Worth resident and TCU student majoring in business and political science. She hopes her activism will encourage other young people to be involved in politics.

Annette Ratliff:


Annette Ratliff of Garland was an early supporter of Mike Huckabee for President. She is a long-time Republican activist at the local and state level and a first-time national convention delegate. She is a legislative aide to State Texas Senator John Carona.

Cathie Adams:


Cathie Adams of Dallas is the long-time president of the Texas Eagle Forum, an organization focused on the preservation of conservative family values. She is the newly-elected national committeewoman from Texas and a member of the party's platform committee.

Mona Bailey:


Mona Bailey is a Republican precinct chair in North Richland Hills and an active participant in numerous GOP organizations. She originally supported Fred Thompson for President, then Mitt Romney. This first-time delegate says she is now firmly behind John McCain.
