KERA to Host Senate Debate DALLAS (KERA) - United States Senate Candidates John Cornyn and Rick Noriega have both accepted KERA's invitation to a one-hour televised debate.

The candidates will square off October 16 at 8:00 pm in KERA's Dallas studios. The statewide broadcast will be provided live, in its entirety to all interested media and will also be broadcast in Spanish. KERA will air the event on television and radio.

The campaigns and KERA are still finalizing the format and the panel of journalists who will pose questions.

Candidates have reportedly accepted one other debate, on public television station KUHT in Houston. Democrat Rick Noriega is pressing for additional debates.
