Starlight Dedicates Final Stage of Improvements
(2007-07-12)
(kcur) - Over the past seven years, Starlight Theatre has completed about $23 million in improvements. The organization's executives, board of directors and city officials today will dedicate major upgrades, which mark the final stage of construction funded by the $15.25 million Future Generations Campaign. Starlight's President and Executive Producer Bob Rohlf says this phase includes changes along the theatre's north side, including expanded green space, and two new group pavilions.

Bob Rohlf: "A new west entrance to the theatre...the fence line has been changed...old chain link fence is gone...lawn for festivals and things of that nature."

New seating was also installed this year at the venue with a grant from the city. The Starlight Theatre Association started presenting Broadway shows in 1951 and is located in Swope Park in Kansas City, Missouri.
