Community Weighs in on KC-MO Parks Controversy KANSAS CITY, MO (kcur) - Kansas City Missouri Mayor Mark Funkhouser hit some of his first major obstacles this week. Critics questioned his judgment over his acceptance of a free Hybrid Civic from a local car dealership. And his controversial appointment of an activist against illegal immigration to the parks board prompted almost unanimous disapproval from the city council.
