The Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art in St. Joseph, Missouri will host a Book Signing for the new Elizabeth "Grandma" Layton biography: "Signs Along The Way". The book was written by Elizabeth's Granddaughters, Carla Russell, Kathy Tracy and Judy Cross, but much of the story is autobiographical. Elizabeth, a Wellsville, Kansas resident, was an internationally-known artist who attributed the cure for her decades-long depression to blind contour drawing. Much is known about the art, but this book will tell what came before.
Books will be available at the signing, or at www.elizabethlayton.com and www.globepubliishing.com, or the Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art. There will be an exhibit of some of the Granddaughters own "gift" drawings from their Grandma, and as was the case at the Layton home, visitors will be served Pink Lemonade and Oreos.
