The Curious Items and Strange Artifacts of Just Colcord at Adults-Only Night! Colcord explores the streets of Kansas City for discarded treasure to transform into characters with elaborate stories— a robot or a wizard with a miniature lair—each creation evolves from other’s trash, repurposed and reborn into a new lifecycle. Experience Colcord’s evolving organic work in stop motion films, talk with the artist, and release your own imagination to create a character and its storyline from recycled items. A robot, a wizard with a miniature lair, a character with a story. A gear here, a spring there, trash transformed into art. Just Colcord believes that art is something you engage with, something that you play with. His creations are born from other’s trash repurposed into figures with definitive personalities. Explore Colcord’s work experimental worlds and stop motion films on view at the Toy and Miniature Museum March 6 – June 9. |
