A new exhibition in the Project Space at the Bloch Building called Tapping Currents: Contemporary African Art and the Diaspora features a new generation of African artists who live and work all over the world. Their art takes on issues of colonial rule, slavery, gender and identity. KCUR's Laura Spencer reports.
The exhibition Tapping Currents: Contemporary African Art and the Diaspora remains on view in the Bloch Building's Project Space at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art through April 13, 2008.
