Oklahomans Help Richardson Retire Campaign Debt
According to Richardson's latest campaign finance report filed with the Federal Election Commission, about 30 percent of the contributions to him came from individuals from the Sooner State.
Donors included former U.S. Senator and current University of Oklahoma President David Boren, who gave $250.
Other donors from Oklahoma included former Gov. David Walters, who gave $500, and Tulsa oilman George Krumme and Tulsa Mayor Kathy Taylor, who each contributed $1,000 to Richardson.
Richardson's campaign owed $245,713 at the end of August, which is down about 11 percent from the previous month.

New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson raised $86,188 last month to help retire his presidential campaign debt, and a good portion of that came from Oklahoma contributors. According to Richardson's latest campaign finance report filed with the Federal Election Commission, about 30 percent of the contributions to him came from individuals from the Sooner State.
