OSU Saves $2.2 Million in Energy Costs
That's a 17.3 percent savings in energy costs for OSU's five campuses. Over 13 months, the initiative has saved almost $3.4 million.
OSU President Burns Hargis says credit for the savings should go to the university's physical plant workers, energy managers and other participating employees.
The conservation program is being implemented in conjunction with a Texas company called Energy Education Inc., which was founded by OSU alumnus William Spears.
