Andrew Rice Wants More Troops in Afghanistan OKLAHOMA CITY, OK (kccu-fm) - Democratic Senate candidate Andrew Rice has outlined a national security plan that would refocus the war on terror by redeploying U.S. troops from Iraq to Afghanistan.

Rice discussed his plan today at the Oklahoma Veterans Memorial. He was accompanied by veterans who criticized Republican Senator Jim Inhofe.

Rice is opposing Inhofe in the November general election.

Rice says Inhofe has supported a Bush policy that concentrated too much on Iraq allowing terrorists to rebuild their strength in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

He says he would responsibly redeploy troops from Iraq to Afghanistan and work to increase the nation's military force by 100,000 troops. © Copyright 2009, kccu-fm
