Washita Co. Sheriff's Secretary Facing Charge CORDELL, OK (kccu-fm) - The secretary to the Washita County sheriff has been charged with embezzling from an inmate trust fund.

Rita Ferrero of Cordell is accused of taking about $17,000 from the Washita County Inmate Trust Fund.

Ferrero is also the wife of an Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation agent.

Investigators say Ferrero told authorities she began taking money from the trust account around October 2006 and using it for personal expenses.
