J.C. Watts Frustrated with GOP Leaders OKLAHOMA CITY, OK (kccu-fm) - Former Congressman J.C. Watts says he's frustrated with the Republican Party leadership but says he will support John McCain.

Watts spoke yesterday to Oklahoma and Louisiana delegates at the Republican National Convention.

He says the GOP has been ``pathetic'' in building relationships with African-Americans and he says the party takes the evangelical community for granted.

Watts says he's been asked to campaign for McCain and says he will do so ``at some point'' after Labor Day.

Watts says he supports McCain even though he's very proud of what Democrat Barack Obama has done on his way to possibly becoming the first black president. © Copyright 2009, kccu-fm
