Foothills developers make pitch to school board; Gunnison County added to rule requiring state approval for drilling

CRESTED BUTTE, CO (kbut) - Developers of the proposed Foothills annexation area north of Crested Butte made a pitch to the RE1J school board Monday, September 15 to offer exclusive leases on housing in exchange for a letter in support of the project. Through the involvement of County Attorney David Baumgarten, Gunnison has become the fourth county included in a Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission rule requiring oil and gas prospectors to get state approval before drilling. © Copyright 2009, kbut
