The United States Navy has called Ryan Asbridge the republican canidate for the 25th State House District to active duty. Asbridge received orders earlier this week to serve the United States in the war on terror. Asbridge vows to continue his campaign in the 25th District regardless of his location. "I don't think that it will necessarily have an effect one way or another, just in the fact that it doesn't change who I am, it doesn't change what I stand for and the reasons why I'm running."
Mary Still is Asbridge's competitor in the 25th District race. She says his deployment will have little effect on the election."Well we certainly respect his service and we wish him well and we wish for him to have a safe return."
Asbridge could not specify when he's being deployed or where.
