McBaine Recovers From Flood
They go by the motto of helping each other. Each one helps one and this community has just been stellar in its pursuit of helping those who have been affected by disaster.
Matthews says hundreds of people have been flooded out in mid-Missouri and many crops have been flooded and potentially ruined. The United Way 211 phone line offers information and referral on health and human service agencies during disasters. People may also volunteer through United Way 211.

Residents of McBaine, Missouri are cleaning up after a devastating flood caused by Hurricane Ike. The Salvation Army is supplying flood victims with cleaning materials and has recruited volunteers to help in the cleaning effort. Major Mathews of the Salvation Army noted that many people do not need to be recruited to volunteer, but just simply go and do it.They go by the motto of helping each other.
