Missouri Social Workers Set Off for Louisiana
These are folks who are volunteering their time to go to Louisiana. They are going to be working some really long hours. They are likely going to have 12 hour days. Many of them are going to areas that have been devastated by flooding or have been devastated by the recent hurricanes so there's not even hotel rooms available, so they will be taking their bedding and toiletries so they themselves can stay in shelter.
The group will have one day of training in Baton Rouge and will go throughout the state to help organize and distribute food stamps.
