Holts Summit Board Blocks Reduced Speeds
"The majority of the people driving on the road were between 30 and 35 miles per hour and they were already ignoring the speed, I don't necessarily think that reducing the speed to 20 mph, which was the request, would resolve the issue."
Anweiler was not the only subdivision to consider reducing its speed limit. Family oriented subdivision Lake Park also wanted drivers to slow down to 20 miles per hour. Residents pushed the bill until the mayor added it to the board's agenda but then it died because not enough people would voice support for it.
