Sustainable Living Fair Saturday in Columbia
(2008-09-12)
(KBIA) - The future of energy will be the topic Saturday at Columbia College, with the sixth annual Sustainable Living Fair. The fair will include workshops, booths, tours and speakers on what can be done to conserve resources. Mark Haim, one of the coordinators of the fair, says the goal is to inform people how to change their impact on the environment.

"We are educating folks and providing information so people can make environmentally responsible choices. Figure out how to reduce their carbon footprint, contribute less to global climate change use less energy and still maintain a high quality of life."

The fair is all day Saturday at the Atkins-Holman Student Commons and adjacent areas at Columbia College. The keynote speaker is Harvey Wasserman, an author on sustainability issues. The fair is free and open to the public. © Copyright 2009, KBIA
