Teenager Drowns at Stephen's Lake Park COLUMBIA, MO (KBIA) - A Columbia teenager drowned last night after jumping into a prohibited part of Stephens Lake. According to Columbia Police witnesses saw 17-year-old Jared Healea and several other people swimming in restricted area of the lake. Healea reportedly jumped over a rail into about 15 feet of water. He never resurfaced. Fire crews were called and began searching the water. When they found Healea he was still alive but reported in critical condition.
