Jefferson City Schools adding Character Education
Faculty last month held a rally and invited nearly 300 parnts, faculty and students to decide which character traits or values would be included in the program. Now, the high school will have a word of the month.
Jefferson City Public School Coordinator Gara Loskill says teachers and staff will stress the meaning of the word and how it apllies to the school and community.
"The goal is to creat an environment in the school where the students have the sincere respect for the values of the community," says Loskill. "We want them to hold up thos values whether (they are) in school or out of school so that they represent what our community is really about."
