Economy Project
Mexico Airport to Get Makeover
In about two weeks, construction will start on a new terminal. The one-story building will be taking the place of the old, run-down one. Officials say the project is long over due.
Assistant City Manager, Russell Runge, says the new terminal will make flying for pilots and travelers a better and more enjoyable experience. He says the new terminal will be a great asset.
"Taking down the older portion where the current terminal building, if you can call it a terminal building, is located and building something that actually is a terminal."
Mexico Memorial flies to all airports in the U.S., but does not provide commercial flights.
A contract is pending with Huey Construction Company. Once everything is signed, construction will begin.
