Columbia City Council Approves New Sewer Line
The planned project involves 4,000 square feet of sewer line through 16 properties at Timberhill Trail and Timberhill Road in Columbia's Shepard Hill Subdivision.
Columbia Public Works Department Engineer Nate Runyan says the completion date will depend on how quick the project can move through the next step.
"The next step would be easements," Runyan says. "Easement acquisitions can take a very long time at this point it is unknown. If the easement were to commence very quickly, it can be built by the middle of next year."
Officials say the project will cost around $685,000 to build and will use tax bills levied from the home owners of the subdivision. © Copyright 2012, KBIA
