"So we don't have a specific number when we take into consideration all the different ways we've heard about this. But suffice to say we've heard from enough people that we are certainly aware of the situation and conducting our classic investigation."
The health department is working to collect food samples and is sending a survey today to people who attended the breakfast- asking questions about if they got sick, when , where they sat, where they ate, etc
The department is also asking people who got sick to submit a stool sample.
The Marriot's manager Bob McDonald says the hotel is cooperating with the health department, but the investigation is pointing towards a norovirus and not food poisoning.
"It is an airborne typically virus and it can be passed on from one person to another very quickly and it is rampant right now."
McDonald says the Marriott does more than a thousand events a year and this is the first time they've ever had an issue.
