COLUMBIA, MO
(KBIA) -
Schools and other organizations across Mid-Missouri continue to donate to the relief efforts taking place in Haiti. Employees at Orscheln Farm and Home in Lake of the Ozarks and students at Mexico High School are just a few of the latest to donate to the relief. Students all around the state have contributed as well, including Bush Elementary in Fulton, which has raised more than $1000. Mike Odneal (ODE-neal) is the Executive Director of the American Red Cross Mid-Missouri Chapter. He says he is impressed with the amount that people have donated."We are amazed constantly about the generosity from Mid-Missourians about how they're wanting to respond and support the folks in Haiti and around the world where other disasters occur. And I want to make sure people remember that the Red Cross is also around the corner and not just around the world."
Missouri residents can get another chance to donate at the Hear for Haiti benefit concert in Columbia. All the money will go to the American Red Cross.
